Role Summary
Customer & Business Development: At Biocon Biologics, the Sr. RSM plays a pivotal role in driving regional growth by building strategic, value-driven partnerships with key healthcare stakeholders. The Sr. RSM will coach and develop the Field Specialist team to deliver measurable impact, aligned with customer goals and Biocon's mission to expand access to high-quality biosimilars. Business plans will be crafted and executed to support both commercial objectives and account-level needs, including performance reviews for priority customers to track progress and identify new opportunities. Stakeholder Engagement: The Sr. RSM will accelerate market development by identifying and cultivating new decision-makers and influencers, while deepening relationships with opinion leaders (OLs) to advance Biocon's reputation as a trusted biosimilars partner in the U.S. healthcare system. Team Leadership & Talent Development: The Sr. RSM will foster a high-performance culture, rooted in Biocon Biologics' values of inclusion, execution excellence, and continuous learning. They will provide direct, timely coaching tailored to individual team member strengths and development needs, while recruiting and retaining top talent. Through clear expectations and consistent feedback, the Sr. RSM ensures accountability and elevates team capability, leading to a high level of performance. Performance Management & Compliance: Upholding Biocon's global standards, the Sr. RSM will ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations and internal policies. They will model and reinforce ethical conduct, proactively addressing any observed deviations, and preserving Biocon's integrity in the pharmaceutical community. Operational Execution & Communication: As a strategic connector between the field and cross-functional partners, the Sr. RSM facilitates transparent communication, promotes best-practice sharing, and removes executional barriers. They will also lead change management efforts to ensure regional readiness and alignment with national initiatives. Culture of Growth & Accountability: The Sr. RSM will cultivate a solution-oriented, high-impact environment where innovation, professional development, and business ownership are prioritized. Key Responsibilities
Qualifications for this role: 7+ years pharmaceutical sales management experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. A strong background in Biosimilars, Oncology, Rheumatology, Dermatology, and/or GI with an understanding of the key IDN and community oncology accounts in the region is highly preferred. A mature understanding of Community and Acute Care GPOs. Position functions autonomously. Position directly supervises 8-10 employees over multiple states. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Strong planning and organizing skills. Proven experience with independent decision making and sound judgment. Communication skills/interpersonal effectiveness. Must have and maintain an appropriate driving record based on expectations set forth by the organization Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents. Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence. Ability to work with managers or directors and communicate ambiguous concepts. Ability to present to groups across the organization. Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required. Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or institution is required Physical Demands: May be required to stand; walk; stoop; bend; kneel; and climb steps. May require use of hands and use of arms. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds Will require extensive use of motor vehicle to support the business Work Environment: Field-based work requiring extensive driving of a motor vehicle Will, generally, conduct additional work duties from a home-based office Frequent visitation of controlled environments such as hospitals, pharmacies, infusion centre's, etc. Occasionally will require to perform work duties nights/weekends - contingent upon business needs Position Location: Strongly preferred to reside within regional geography of responsibility. Anticipated Travel: Ability to travel as required, up to 80%. Will require regular overnight travel both domestically and occasionally, global. Supervisory Responsibilities: Will have direct supervisory responsibilities of a remote field-based sales team.
