Role Purpose

The Team Manager - Commercial - National Accounts is responsible for leading and managing a team dedicated to building and maintaining relationships with key national accounts, including large hospitals, national pharmacy chains, and group purchasing organizations (GPOs). This role is focused on strategic planning, sales growth, and ensuring the alignment of commercial objectives with the overall business strategy. The Team Manager will oversee the execution of national account strategies, collaborate with internal teams, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction while driving sales and market share for the company’s pharmaceutical products.

Job Responsibility and key Decisions

National Account Strategy Development

Create and execute strategic business plans tailored to the unique needs and growth potential of each national account.

Revenue Sales Growth

Drive topline growth by increasing product penetration, launching new products, and leveraging bundling or comarketing opportunities.

Contract Negotiation Management

Lead pricing negotiations, contract renewals, rebates, and commercial terms with procurement leaders at national accounts.

Operational Coordination

Ensure seamless ordertodelivery execution by coordinating with supply chain, logistics, and finance.

Issue Resolution Escalation Handling

Act as the first point of escalation for servicerelated issues, product shortages, or customer dissatisfaction.

Joint Business Planning

Collaborate with key accounts on sales forecasts, promotional calendars, new product introductions, and stock planning.

KPI Monitoring Performance Reporting

Track account performance vs. targets, prepare MIS reports, and present insights to leadership.

Stakeholder Engagement

Maintain multilevel engagement within the account e.g., procurement, supply, pharmacy, and administration functions to reduce dependency on singlepoint contacts.

Compliance Management

Ensure that all commercial activities are compliant with legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements.

DecisionMaking Responsibilities

Approve accountspecific discounts, investment proposals, and new product offers.

Prioritize resource allocation across highvalue or atrisk accounts.

Recommend strategic exits or reengagement plans for underperforming or noncompliant accounts
