The IT Intern will support the IT team in maintaining the organization’s hardware, software, and network infrastructure. This role provides hands-on experience in troubleshooting, system support, cybersecurity practices, and IT operations within a corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
• Provide first-level technical support to employees (e.g., troubleshooting laptops, printers, network issues).
• Support IT asset management including inventory updates, tagging, and documentation.
• Help maintain network and system security including updates, patching, and antivirus checks.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes (e.g., user account creation, device setup).
• Support routine IT operations such as backup checks, monitoring logs, and maintaining documentation.
• Collaborate with IT staff on technical projects (e.g., system upgrades, deployments, audits).
• Escalate technical issues to relevant IT personnel when necessary.
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
• Familiarity with Windows OS (MacOS/Linux is a bonus).
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive IT data.
Preferred Skills (Optional)
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Active Directory.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity.
• Experience with ticketing systems.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is an advantage.
