Company Overview

Role Purpose

The Team Manager – Warehousing leads warehouse operations for raw materials, intermediates, packaging materials, and finished goods in a pharmaceutical environment. The role ensures: Regulatory and GMP compliance, Efficient inventory management, Timely support for production and dispatches, And audit readiness at all times. This person manages a team of warehouse personnel, interfaces with internal stakeholders (QA, production, planning), and oversees space, resources, systems, and safety within the warehouse.

Job Responsibility and key Decisions

EndtoEnd Warehouse Operations Management

Oversee receipt, inspection, binning, and storage of incoming raw and packaging materials.

Ensure accurate material issue and dispatch, aligned with production and customer demand.

Manage return to stock, rejection handling, and quarantine processes.

Inventory Accuracy Control

Maintain 98 inventory accuracy through system discipline and periodic physical verification.

Monitor batchlotlevel traceability and segregation of quarantine, released, rejected, and expired materials.

Compliance Documentation Management

Ensure SOP adherence, proper documentation for every warehouse activity, and readiness for audits internal, external, and regulatory.

Handle deviation reports, change controls, and CAPA implementation related to warehousing.

Cold Chain Sensitive Product Management

Manage validated cold rooms and temperaturecontrolled storage zones.

Ensure temperature monitoring, alarm response protocols, and excursion handling.

Comply with handling requirements for controlled drugs, highvalue goods, and hazardous materials.

Team Supervision Shift Planning

Lead warehouse team across shifts, ensuring optimal workforce deployment and productivity.

Plan manpower and MHE usage to meet material movement SLAs.

Space Optimization Layout Improvement

Maximize utilization of warehouse space through slotting strategies, bin planning, and layout reorganization.

Drive continuous improvement in material flow and storage efficiency.

CrossFunctional Coordination

Liaise with Planning, Manufacturing, QAQC, Procurement, and Logistics to ensure smooth material flow and timely issue resolution.

Audit Compliance Readiness

Prepare warehouse operations for regulatory audits USFDA, MHRA, WHO, etc., ensuring zero critical observations.

Maintain compliant documentation, data integrity, and traceability systems.

Key Decisions Handled

Allocation of space and bins for different material categories

Prioritization of warehouse activities receipts, issues, dispatches during high load

Decisions on batch segregation, rejections, or quarantine handling

Warehouse shift and manpower planning

Escalation of deviations, storage issues, or system discrepancies to QA or management
