Role Purpose

To lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Insulin Drug Substance manufacturing process, focusing on enhancing process efficiency, product quality, and operational excellence. This role ensures implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies aligned with cGMP standards to optimize manufacturing performance and reduce waste.

Job Responsibility and key Decisions

Lead and manage continuous improvement projects to enhance yield, reduce cycle time, and improve product quality

Identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies through data analysis and Gemba walks

Facilitate Kaizen events, root cause investigations, and crossfunctional problemsolving sessions

Develop and implement standardized work procedures and best practices

Monitor and report on key performance indicators KPIs related to process efficiency, quality, and safety

Collaborate with production, QA, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless project execution

Drive adoption of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies across the Insulin DS manufacturing team

Support training and development of team members on CI tools and techniques

Ensure all activities comply with cGMP and internal quality standards

Lead initiatives for waste reduction, cost savings, and resource optimization

Prioritize CI projects based on impact, feasibility, and alignment with business goals

Recommend process changes and improvements supported by data and risk assessment

Allocate resources and assign responsibilities for CI initiatives

Escalate critical issues impacting manufacturing efficiency or product quality

Decide on training needs and CI tool deployment for the manufacturing team
