Role Purpose

The Section Head – Patient Services within the Market Access function is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing patient-centric programs that improve access to therapies, enhance patient adherence, and support overall treatment outcomes. This role acts as a bridge between patients, healthcare providers, payers, and internal commercial teams to ensure patients receive timely and affordable access to pharmaceutical products. The role involves leading patient support initiatives, patient assistance programs, and advocacy activities that align with market access strategies and commercial goals, ultimately driving brand loyalty and improving health outcomes.

Job Responsibility and key Decisions

Patient Program Strategy and Implementation

Develop and implement patient services programs aimed at improving access, adherence, and patient outcomes.

Align patient programs with overall market access and commercial strategies.

Patient Assistance and Access Support

Manage patient assistance programs, financial support, and navigation services to reduce treatment barriers.

Ensure effective enrollment, communication, and followup processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Build partnerships with healthcare providers, patient advocacy groups, payers, and NGOs to enhance patient support ecosystem.

Collaborate with internal commercial, medical, and market access teams to integrate patient insights.

DataDriven Program Management

Track patient engagement metrics, adherence rates, and clinical outcomes.

Use data to refine and improve patient services.

Compliance and Risk Management

Ensure all patient programs comply with applicable regulations, privacy laws e.g., HIPAA, and company policies.

Manage risks related to patient data, program delivery, and ethical considerations.

Communication and Education

Develop educational materials and communication plans for patients and caregivers.

Leverage digital platforms for outreach and engagement.

Team Leadership and Development

Lead, coach, and develop the patient services team, fostering a patientcentric culture.
