Role Purpose

The Team Manager – Legal – Business Legal – Contract, Licensing, and Litigations is responsible for managing and executing legal activities related to commercial contracts, licensing agreements, and litigation matters. This role acts as a key legal advisor to internal business stakeholders, ensuring that business dealings are structured to comply with legal and regulatory requirements while protecting the company’s interests. The role also plays a hands-on role in managing disputes and coordinating with external counsel as needed.

Job Responsibility and key Decisions

Manage and oversee the legal team handling contracts, licensing, and litigation within the Business Legal function.

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements to ensure legal protection and business alignment.

Advise business stakeholders on legal risks and mitigation strategies related to strategic transactions and daytoday operations.

Support and manage legal aspects of licensing and technology transfer agreements.

Assist in litigation management, including coordination with external counsel, documentation, and internal stakeholder alignment.

Maintain templates, contract standards, and legal documentation processes for consistency and efficiency.

Monitor ongoing litigation cases, potential legal risks, and keep stakeholders informed of developments.

Provide training to business teams on legal and compliance matters related to contracting and dispute resolution.

Report key legal matters, contract volumes, and litigation trends to the Section HeadDepartment Head.

Key Decisions

Legal positioning and recommended strategy in contracts and negotiations.

Escalation of highrisk contract clauses or litigation issues.

Prioritization of contract reviews and dispute responses.

Selection of external legal support in coordination with leadership.
