Job Responsibility and key Decisions
Supervise daily operations related to the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and automation systems in manufacturing areas.
Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance and calibration schedules for all GMPcritical systems.
Assist in the troubleshooting of equipment automation failures and implement corrective actions to avoid recurrence.
Lead execution of automationrelated projects or support modification and improvement activities on control systems.
Maintain detailed and accurate documentation including calibration records, maintenance logs, deviation reports, and change control documents.
Support qualification and requalification activities for instrumentation and automated systems in collaboration with validation and QA teams.
Ensure audit readiness by maintaining validated status, user access control, and proper system documentation.
Conduct training sessions for technicians and operators on system operation, calibration standards, and compliance procedures.
Coordinate with external vendors for system servicing, spare parts, upgrades, and technical support.
Monitor alarm trends and system performance to identify opportunities for preventive interventions and performance optimization.
Key Decisions
Prioritizing maintenance or calibration activities based on risk, production needs, and regulatory requirements.
Approving completed work orders, calibration results, and maintenance documentation for GMP closure.
Escalating automation failures and deviations, and deciding on temporary workarounds or permanent fixes.
Assigning tasks within the team based on skill level, urgency, and system criticality.
Recommending upgrades or replacements of obsolete or unreliable instruments or control systems.
Determining training requirements for technicians and ensuring ongoing technical capability within the team.
