Company Overview

Role Purpose

To ensure effective implementation of Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices across manufacturing operations. The role involves supporting day-to-day EHS compliance, monitoring workplace safety, driving safety culture, and assisting in risk management initiatives to protect personnel, assets, and the environment in alignment with regulatory and corporate EHS requirements.

Job Responsibility and key Decisions

Conduct regular EHS inspections and walkthroughs in manufacturing areas and document findings

Support implementation of EHS management systems and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements

Assist in preparation of SOPs, checklists, risk assessments, and permit systems

Monitor compliance with safety standards, PPE usage, chemical safety, and environmental controls

Participate in incident investigations and support closure of CAPAs and preventive actions

Maintain EHS records including training logs, incident reports, safety data sheets SDS, etc.

Conduct or coordinate safety training and awareness sessions for plant personnel

Support internalexternal audits and inspections and help in implementing audit recommendations

Assist in waste management, energy efficiency, and environmental monitoring activities

Help drive emergency preparedness drills, mock drills, and first aid support programs

Promote and track behaviorbased safety BBS observations and improvement ideas

Support preparation and submission of periodic EHS performance reports

Identify and escalate unsafe conditions or behaviors to supervisors or EHS leadership

Recommend and initiate corrective actions in case of EHS noncompliance or potential risks

Decide on the need for temporary stoppage or containment in case of immediate hazards as per protocol

Support decisionmaking in emergency response situations in coordination with the EHS team

Suggest and implement lowrisk improvements in safety practices, signage, and workplace organization

Prioritize followup actions based on risk level and regulatory impact
