Role Purpose

The Team Member – Production Planning supports the creation, updating, and monitoring of production plans and shop floor schedules. The role ensures availability of materials, alignment with demand forecasts, and optimal utilization of plant capacity while ensuring regulatory compliance and inventory efficiency. This individual acts as a liaison between manufacturing, quality, warehousing, procurement, and planning teams to ensure timely and effective production execution.

Job Responsibility and key Decisions

Production Order Management

Assist in the creation, release, and tracking of process orderswork orders for planned batches.

Monitor order statuses and flag any delays, holds, or deviations.

Material Readiness Coordination

Ensure availability of raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables before batch start.

Coordinate with warehouse and procurement to resolve material gaps or short supply.

Production Plan Execution Monitoring

Track daily execution vs. plan and support replanning if there are machine breakdowns, quality rejections, or other disruptions.

Update planning systems with actuals, consumptions, and yield deviations.

Support Batch Scheduling Shift Alignment

Help develop shortterm weeklydaily production schedules based on demand and available capacity.

Coordinate shiftwise planning to match operator availability and maintenance plans.

Documentation ERP Transactions

Support timely and accurate entry of data in SAP or other ERP tools, including order confirmations, component issues, and batch status updates.

Maintain digital and physical documentation logs per GMP and audit readiness standards.

Crossfunctional Communication

Act as the point of contact for daytoday planning queries from shop floor, QA, and other SCM teams.

Participate in production meetings, Tier reviews, and escalation discussions.

Prioritization of production batches based on demand and material availability

Escalation of rawpackaging material shortages impacting schedules

Support in identifying batches for rescheduling or alternate lines

Input on yield analysis and production cycle time variation
