Demand Planning Responsibilities
Lead the monthly demand planning cycle SOP process in collaboration with sales, marketing, and finance.
Develop short, mid, and longterm forecasts using historical data, market intelligence, and statistical tools.
Review forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Translate business intelligence e.g., market launches, tender wins into demand signals.
Inventory Management Responsibilities
Monitor inventory levels across plants, warehouses, and distribution centers, ensuring alignment with service level targets.
Define and maintain stock policies, including safety stocks and reorder points.
Manage slowmoving and obsolete inventory, including expiry risk analysis and mitigation planning.
Ensure stock availability for critical products without overstocking.
Stakeholder Coordination
Act as a liaison between commercial teams and supply planners to align forecast with production and procurement plans.
Provide inventory and forecast insights to finance for budgeting and cost control.
Coordinate with QAQC and Regulatory to ensure compliance with batch release timelines and product lifecycle changes.
Team Leadership
Manage a team of demand planners and inventory analysts define roles, set KPIs, and provide feedback and development opportunities.
Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, and datadriven decisionmaking within the team.
Key Decisions Handled
Final approval of demand forecasts prior to SOP signoff.
Determining safety stock levels and replenishment strategies.
Inventory risk assessments and decision on stock liquidation or writeoffs.
Recommendations for product phaseinphaseout planning in line with regulatory changes.
Escalation point for supplydemand imbalances and crisis mitigation e.g., supplier disruption, product recalls.
