Role Purpose

Team Lead-RND-Process Sciences-Cell Culture: Is responsible for advancing cell culture processes within upstream bioprocessing. This role involves design of experiments, monitoring development activities, experiment reviews, cross functional communications, adherence to good documentation and data integrity practices, optimizing cell growth and production techniques to improve scalability and efficiency, ensuring that cell culture processes support high-quality and productive biomanufacturing.

Job Responsibility and key Decisions

Lead the development, optimization, and scaleup of cell culture processes to produce biologics, recombinant proteins, and other therapeutic products.

Oversee the design and execution of experiments to optimize cell growth, viability, and productivity in bioreactor systems.

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to transfer cell culture processes from laboratory to pilot scale, ensuring consistency and efficiency.

Ensure compliance with GxP, regulatory, and internal quality standards during all cell culture activities.

Mentor and manage a team of scientists and engineers, fostering innovation and best practices in cell culture development.

Review and analyse data from cell culture experiments, identifying areas for process optimization and improvement.

Lead troubleshooting efforts related to cell culture performance, addressing issues such as contamination, poor yield, or instability.

Oversee the preparation of documentation, including protocols, batch records, and stability reports, for regulatory submissions.

Act as the subject matter expert in cell culture during regulatory audits and inspections.

Drive continuous improvement in cell culture technologies and methodologies to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
