Job Responsibility and key Decisions

Lead the team responsible for the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of facility infrastructure and utility systems supporting manufacturing.

Ensure all systems operate within defined parameters and comply with regulatory and safety standards.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and manage reactive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Coordinate with engineering, validation, and QA teams to support facility and utility qualification, requalification, and change management.

Manage calibration and validation of utility monitoring instruments and control systems.

Respond to and resolve facility or utility system failures or deviations, including investigation and CAPA implementation.

Oversee vendor and contractor activities related to facility and utility maintenance and projects.

Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities, incidents, and system performance metrics.

Support internal and external audits by providing system documentation and responding to audit queries.

Train and mentor team members on SOPs, safety practices, and technical skills related to facility and utility operations.

Key Decisions

Prioritizing maintenance and repair activities based on criticality, regulatory impact, and production schedules.

Approving maintenance work orders, deviations, and change controls related to facility and utility systems.

Determining resource allocation within the team to ensure adequate coverage and expertise.

Deciding on escalation paths for system failures and compliance breaches.

Recommending upgrades or modifications to facility and utility systems to improve reliability and compliance.

Authorizing documentation related to maintenance, calibration, and compliance activities.
